Scream into the Wind

So much I need to say

And sometimes I'm never heard

It's like screaming into the wind

Watching what I labor over

Be blown away unheard

And maybe if I were yelling

At nature and the gods

Then I could stand on a nearby hilltop

Let loose with a mighty wail

And scream into the wind

Releasing this burden into one mighty sound

But there's never anyone home

Or at least they hide with lights off

When I scream into the wind

So how can I find solace

When there's nowhere left to turn

Give me a megaphone

Let me scream into the wind

And maybe then you'll hear me

And I know that it won't all be for naught.
