Big White Lies

They have laws against suicide

But none against pain

So we suffer on legally

And call the government wise

What if I told you my secret

Would you call the friendly men

In their nice white coats

Because I don't believe society's lies.

And why is it when women weigh 80lbs

We idolize them in their beauty

Then look the other way and shake our heads

When we hear of their demise

And maybe we're free to do

Whatever the hell we want

As long as no one knows the price

Of the plans we devise

I have seven screen names

And maybe I'll get an eighth

Cause it doesn't matter the lie

Only it's underlying size.
